Reach for the laser
Apparently I’m going to see DJ Tiesto tonight. I made tentative plans with danowar and buho on Saturday (that I had since forgotten about), and Dan0 just informed me that the two of them are still planning on it.
Say what you will about Tiesto (and I’m sure you’d be right =P), but I’ve always had a soft spot for the occasional helping of prog-trance. Tiesto has been someone I’ve wanted to see live at least once. Tonight he’s playing at Avalon in Boston, and apparently tickets are like $10. 10 dollars? WTF? I’d be stupid not to go.

that’s much better that the $40 they wanted the last time he was in new york. at that show, he totally sucked it up. i mean, total trainwreck – music stopped cold. he’s been on a serious decline but he’s still the flavor of the month. they might try to get you to pay a “offical music of the olympics” tax, so beware.
sorry. i’m so over tiesto.
I am too, actually =P… But it’s cheap , and I can take the “saw Tiesto live” punch out of my card.
I almost never listen to the stuff I have of him anymore. And when I do it’s Magik 2 or Summerbreeze or some other early stuff. I think I want to see him just to amuse that bit of me that remembers back when I didn’t know any better than to like him. Does that make me old =| ?
nah, it just makes you not trendy. mostly because i don’t want to be trendy and was right there along side you
I’m not quite sure I’d enjoy a live dj “show”.
I do like Tiesto though…but for driving, writing, or background music.
I have to start going to shows again. Not progressive trance (no no, I’m much too cool for that), but … meh. That whole “time” thing makes it hard. =P
